 | Well Art´s not the only one...Do you remember actor James Doohan? He played Scotty in Star Trek and died recently aged 85. He became father again at the age of 80!! THAT´s really sick IMO... |

| Wow...they kept that quiet! It doesn´t seem that long ago when Art used that wondeful phrase "I´m feeling ripe!"
As for what has been said...In my opinion what they do is their discion. There are no guarantees in life including how long we live.
There are many of us here who´ll have children, and who are young, and we can´t say we´ll be fit and healthy next year or the year after that. We can´t say what will happen tomorrow or next year. It´s a dreaful thing to say, but I know of people who´ve had heart attacks at 25 and they never knew they had a heart problem. All we can do is live our lives as best as possible, be good people. We can´t say nor promise we´ll be here in the next five years, even if we are only 19.
So who are we to say wether it is write or wrong for an older man or woman to have a child. Someone said he´ll not be fit enough at 71 to play with his child. How do you know? I know 35 year olds who aren´t fit now never mind when their 71. We have a singer/presenter who is 73, he´s extremely fit and plays with his young child very happly.
It is not for us to judge, we haven´t got a crystal ball, we don´t know Art, or Paul for that matter, personally and so we can´t say how fit they are to take care of their kids.
How many young people have kids knowing they have cancer and their chances of survival are slim?
I´ll stop now.....All I´ll say is this...think before you judge others for how they live their lives. You don´t need to be Old to be seriously ill or die.
So I say, Congratulations Art, Kim and James on your new addtion, I hope you´ll be all very happy.
