 | I have always wondered about the creator of this amazing site: Bodo.
Tell us what first got you interested in Paul´s music and life.
I think that anyone who could create a site this great must be a very devoted fan indeed. |

 | Well, I also have to tell you that for a long period I thought Paul Simon might be death. I have never heard any news about him from 1992 - winter 1997, when suddenly the Capeman CD was in our CD-store.
Without the internet I wouldn´t know anything new about him today too... well ok the S&G concerts got some attention last year - but never his solo shows.
I remember the first internet site about Simon I found in 1998. It was that forum about the Capeman (I think that was the official site at this time). That was really cool.
And I believe without Bob Dylan I would never have seen Paul live later in 1999. The name ´Bob Dylan´ get´s more attention over here in Europe, the Bob-Paul tour was only mentioned because of Dylan...and so I got the information that Paul will tour :-)
I have never found anything about Paul outside the internet... well except one thing: A book with pictures of pop/rock musicians, with a shy small Paul looking scared and confused , Stranded In A Limousine (around 1980)
That was a really cool picture, has anyone it ever seen on the web? (No, I didn´t buy that book because of 1 photo :-) )

 | I am so surprised to hear that there is not much on Paul in Europe.I never knew that.I guess with the enormous turn out he got in Italy with Artie a few years ago, I assumed that there was all kinds of stuff floating about over there.I had read that people came from all over Europe for that free concert.
I guess that also explains why most of the fans on this site are European based, they need a place to go to find excellent Paul info, pics, etc... I think that is just awesome.
The picture that you mentioned I have seen before,(if this is the same one that is). It shows Paul real young looking, like around the time of the Tower Theater concert, sitting in a limosine looking nervously to what would be his right. His hair is in that early eighty´s Moe Howard bowl cut style. He looked either terrified or extremely nervous. Is that the one?
By the way Bodo,it says that you are from Austria. Both my parents are from Salzburg. They grew upthere and came here to America after they wed. We go back there twice a year sometimes to see family. It is a beautiful country.

 | Well, his albums are available in the music stores and ASFAIK the solo concert tours he made in Europe were all visited well, despite the lack of attention from the media.
But the internet is great for us european fans, now we can buy other stuff like the Dick Cavett Show.
I heard BOTW before on Live Rhymin but really like the performance on the Dick Cavett show. Also the interview is great to see.

 | The national Irish music radio 2FM never mentions Paul, yet constantly go on about Dylan and of course U2, yet the other national radio station (news, talk shows, request programs) plays him or S&G at least once nearly every day, but only the well known ones.
Question is Paul considered pop or rock - I think there are those who consider him pop. Thats way he´s ignored, also among the younger people I know, he is considered a mean individual and quite nasty!! Of note his last album PSC one CD is classified as pop while the other is rock when info is downloaded from the internet. |

 | I don´t know where they get the info from, but thats what they say - those that have heard of him that is. those that saw him last year on the Old Friends tour thought him arrogant re Artie. |
