....Hancock´s arrangements make singers stretch; his shifting tempos for Paul Simon´s "I Do It For Your Love" make Simon sound more vulnerable, and more quietly daring, than the original version did.

Anyone already has it or has bought the song somewhere? Is it maybe possible to buy this song at some online portal?

Nice to read, I have to agree with the review.
I think in his earlier years he wouldn´t have liked it to sound vulnerable. I like both versions.

It´s available on walmart.com
by music downloads for $0.88.
You have to pay with a creditcard but in their license agreement is mentioned they don´t accept creditcards outside the U.S.A.

I don´t like it....gaps are too long between the verses and the backing music doesn´t seem to fit.

They don´t acceppt credit cards outside USA??? How nice.

88 Cent would be really a nice price, but when I can´t buy it online and this song alone, I´ll have to download it somewhere :-)

Why does he sing "the rooms were musty and the pipes were COLD, all that winter we shared a cold."?

Hello!

I have to say, that I like it. But I like that kind of music anyway - it is very jazzy.

I finally got my Herbie Hancock CD and have to say - I really Love that arrangement.

Paul´s voice is great, it´s wonderful to hear him singin this high falsetto parts. And Jamey playes a really good percussion part.

The album is really good, all artists build one unity because of Herbie Hancock´s piano playing. (Even Christina Aguilera makes sense ;-) ) Only Santana is still Santana and let´s not give this song Herbie Hancock´s style...

"the rooms were musty and the pipes were COLD, all that winter we shared a cold."?

those lines always remind me of the stories my parents would tell of their first flat when they got married
