 | Thats a funny sticker...we should wear that on the next concerts :-)
I visited the site 4president.org now (I first wondered why they had a internet address back in 1988 until I realized that this is the watermark of the site) Anyway, clicking trough the years and reading all the names I realized since how long the Bush family is leading this country now... Bush sen. was vice president since 1980? |

 | Interesting what Paul Simon said, why he doesn`t tend to write political songs in 1980:
"I don`t think that pop-music is a suitable form for political comment."
Interviewer: "But you could reach a lot of people".
Simon: "Yes, but the mixture of show-business and politics hadn`t been beneficial for us, because people judge the candidates, how good they are presented, who supports them, how good they can talk - all those are not the qualities a good leader should have." |

 | "If I was president, and the congress called my name... I got the presidential seal, I´m up on the presidential podium, my mama loves me..." |

 | Yes, that`s true.
And he is interested in people`s problems, sorrows, joys etc.
Much earlier than others he had realized, that politicians are neither our problem or help.
Too simple, hiding personal problems by making "mighty" people responsible. Which was very usual in the days when he became famous.
