 | i recently found a live recording of simon and garfunkel singing cat´s in the cradle (a song i really Love). does anyone know when this might have been recorded? also, does paul actually sing on this? (apart from possibly the chorus). i don´t seem to recognise his voice at any point throughout the recording but i´m not sure if the voice i´m hearing is art´s cos i´m not very sure what his voice sounds like. Thanks! |

 | Let´s sum up:
You have a recording of Cat´s in the craddle from S&G, but you can´t hear Paul singing and don´t recognize Art singin on it.
Same with me.
I have a mp3 at home ´Sweet Home Alabama´ from S&G, but also Paul and Art aren´t singin on it :-)

 | well the reason i don´t recognise art singing on it is cos i don´t think i´d be able to recognise his voice anyway, i don´t listen to it often enough. but if it is from s&g, i think it´s fairly recent cos the voice sounds pretty Old. and with the other songs everyone else mentioned, are they also songs that paul / s&g have supposedly sung but really haven´t?

 | Sounds pretty Old?! Hey I know Paul & Art are 63, but they don´t sound Old, they sound older, but not old.

 | lol. I´m sorry. They sound older then.

 | Well, I hope you all know that it´s not them, anyway (singing Cats in the Cradle, I mean...)! |

 | All these songs are just mis-titled tracks which have been put online as mp3s.A saying in England is....."Just because it says Nescafe on the side of a bus doesn´t mean they sell coffee"! |

 | By the way, I have this song too (and it sounds pretty good), and I wondered who was singing it (since it´s obviously not S&G...^^´) ? |

 | Well, several artists have recorded that song, but my guess is (since it probably IS a duo) that what you have is the version by Cat Stevens and Harry Chapins. |

 | Well, the song´s one of Harry Chapin´s, so it´s only half cover, isn´t it ;-)? Great artist, by the way, he was, too.
And never mind that ##-flag on the left ... |
