 | I hope some of you can help me with this question I have. Are there Paul Simon songs that have been translated and performed in French? You see, for my French course I have to present a song which must be in French, and although I like quite a few French singers, I would like to present a song of my favourite singer-songwriter albeit not in its original version (I would of course slip the original version in the presentation too!).
Maybe some of you French fans will suggest I should have posted this message in French but I must say, here are a few reasons why I am following a French course: grammaire, vocabulaire, etc.

 | How about Art Garfunkels French Waltz from his Scissors Cut album. I know it´s not Paul Simon, but it´s not a bad start. Even if only to hear Art singing in french! And Paul sometimes uses french in his songs. Bon vivant springs to mind. Good luck!! |

| Thank you everybody who suggested a French cover. I will let you know which one I choose and how I go. Magritte was Belgian, just like I am, but he was fluent in French, unlike me!

 | These abreviations like ´lol´ are probably easier to learn than French. But not so nice though.
lol means laugh out loud.
imo means in my opinion
And there are probably lots more. Have you figured out the shorts for the S&G songs yet? SOS, BOTW, TOLBINY, YTO (by PS), or the best of CD´s SLANG and OMWDKWIG ? |
