Thanks a lot Bodo for the news about the guitarplayer Bill Frisell.
Little by little ;-) there is more news coming up about the new album.
Only the big question remains....the release date.... and the name....

From Enoweb : "Paolo Lanzoni says: There was an interview with Brian in the Italian women´s magazine Donna (out Saturday 3rd February). He dicussed his collaboration on next Paul Simon album and says Paul Simon recently recorded some vocals for a Herbie Hancock song. Hancock was impressed by the sound of some demos that Paul brought from sessions for the album and said "Who did this? I want him to play on my own recordings". This could be the way a new collaboration on H.H. stuff is born!"
This new album really seems promising !

Great, this sounds indeed promising. I hope the album will come out soon now!
Paul should be careful that his new music will not be available on the net before his new album comes out, it happened to the Stones recently.

Do you remember, that we could listen to a few seconds of the You´re The One songs before release date on http://www.paulsimon.com? You could even listen to almost all of the previously unreleased bonus tracks of the Old albums (box set) before they came out.
I wonder if they´ll do it again for the new album.

Few seconds of YTO album ? Hmm hmm ! Most of us (members at that time of an other PS site that doesn´t exist anymore)had been able to listen to the WHOLE album before the release date ! But it was of course totally unlegal... And I don´t really like to do that anymore : I prefer the excitement of the waiting til the moment I´ve got the album in my hands... :-P

I may be wrong with the "few seconds", but I remember that the sound quality was rather low. I still had a 56 k modem at that time and the live playback - which I recorded on compact cassette ;-) used to be interrupted every few seconds.
But I agree that the excitement would be bigger without a (complete) preview.

"other PS site that doesn´t exist anymore": Negotiations And Love Songs NALS :-(

I was not a modern girl when YTO was released: i didn´t have a computer...so, my ears were "virgin" (euh, i only talk about my ears...:-))
