That was really a long and hard time.

My hosting company went bancrupt I guess, and so another company took all the accounts. They have set up a new DNS Server and didn´t tell me - so after a few day´s no computer on the net did know where the site paul-simon.info was.
Last Friday I finally could fix that - but then they moved with my whole site and database to another server - and changed my pwd...and again these **** didn´t tell me the new pwd!! crazy.

The best thing is - they also want some more money (the Old contract was ´for lifetime´). What should I say more.
I signed up to another hosting company yesterday, and I guess there will be some conflicts again for a few hours when I change the DNS entry then. (some will see this site, some will see the
site on the new server)

You really don`t have to apologize! I´m sitting here, paying nothing, doing nothing but enjoy this site.

It seems to work for me again now even if certain things have disappeared (emoticons, flags...)
Good luck Bodo ;-)

I think it´s not very nice of both the hosting company´s that they didn´t give you this information!
You went to all this trouble, I suppose they didn´t apologize either for this bad behaviour!

But we waited patiently ;-)
Good luck with your site, Bodo!

Nooo, by far they didn not apologize - they said I shouldn´t be angry at them, because they do something for ME (yes they are right, because the Old company just was away...but how should I know that)

Please let me know when you can´t find anything on the page (what was there before)

Except these 5 mp3´s (Surfer girl) I need them again, please send via email

I moved to a new webspace, and before I tell the Old company to delete my account I need to check if everything has been copied to the new webspace.

Bodo....don´t know how much it costs to keep this website but I for one would be glad to chip in to keep it going. I´m sure some of the other regulars would do so as well.

Hello Julie.

It doesn´t cost much.
Well, let´s say with some problems, downtime from time to time and not really good support service it doesn´t cost much :-)

I now pay 51$ per year for 2000MB of space + 8 $ for the name paul-simon.info
