Paul Simon is mentioned in a song by Caetano Veloso. The song is called "Haiti". If you go here: http://www.caetanoveloso.com.br/sec_discogra_view.

you can listen to a short extract of the song, starting exactly with the words "Paul Simon".
I haven´t been able to find the translation of the lyrics. Does any Portoguese or Brazilian fan can help? At least, it would be nice if Caetano and Gilberto Gil (who is co-author) say something nice or not, about Paul! :-)

I appreciate it, but I really hoped for some native speaker could help us to get a bit more inside... also Jorge Amado is mentioned and he is a great story teller (like Paul, but in a different fashion :-)) and having them both in one song seemed wonderful to me.
