It was a place where people shared bootlegs. There were thousands of people who are recording almost every show. Usually, a show was uploaded the day after it took place !

But now it´s dead. Actually that makes me more sad than the death of the pope ! :o)
At least there is a small chance that easytree will find a way to get online again.

But Bodo, at least we learned, that when a homepage (or server or whatever) contains illegal bootlegs, they give you a warning before they sue you. And if you shut down the homepage immediately, nothing happens.

So, Bodo, you can take the risk and provide bootleg-trading on this homepage !
(just kidding)

I don´t have the space, that´s the problem. At the time this page needs about 700MB (I sometimes wonder what needs that space, but with all these pictures and some videos and a few shows in mp3 it needs that space)

I think it wouldn´t be a problem, because Simon, his management and Warner aren´t interested in 1 site doing that. I guess the problem with easy-tree was that bootlegs from every musician can be shared there, and if only 1 musician or Company doesn´t like that they can stop the whole system.

See what I´ve found.

(from the people who run easytree, and got a fax from sever lawyers)

==================
The fax just came in a couple of minutes ago.

The offender was torrent # 30630, NIRVANA 08/30/1992 Reading Festival
Complete PRO Shot DVD. In particular the title "Smells like Teen
Spirit", rightowner: Universal, claimed through Universal Music GmbH,
Germany, and pro MediaGmbH (exclusive partner of IFPI in Germany).

Nirvana...a band which doesn´t exist since more than 10 years now. lol

Well, the offender was obviously official material! Most bootlegs there, however, where audience recordings. Many of them had a minor or even poor quality... It´s understandable that you musn´t trade CD/DVD rips but why should it be illegal to trade your selfmade recordings? They start to forbid everything now ;(

Hey, calm down DJJD, whoever you can be ! I was just joking (that´s why I put a ";-)" at the end of my text)and it could be blasphemy or not (and in a way, it was as, contrary to what you said, with those past events concerning the death of the pope, we could see that millions of people unfortunately thought he was God himself), I would not care at all !!! I am not religious and as most of the people around me and in my country, I am more than tired of all that catholic "show" we could see because there are many more important and urgent problems on Earth. But that´s an other story...
