I recently got the Live Aid DVD as a gift.
WHat´s wierd is that in several places, including booklet,Paul´s name comes up....but he´s nowhere to be seen on stage.
Anyone have any clue as to PS´s connection with Geldof´s BAnd Aid?

he was involved in the american song "we are the world" organised by harry Belefonte, lional Richie and Michael Jackson. There is a great DVD about recording this song with plenty of snippets about Paul and others in it. Well worth getting. I didn´t see him in the concert though for live aid

From what i understand, Paul was supposed to do Live Aid (as he had already appeared on "USA for Africa - We Are the World"), but he pulled out for some reason. He´s on the poster for Live Aid, reproduced on a booklet with the Live Aid DVD; but not on the DVD itself; which would seem to provide evidence for the above.

I´ve tried to find info on why he didn´t do Live Aid before, but haven´t had any luck. Anyone else know anything about it?

As I remember, Paul didn´t perform because of Bill Graham(a promotor I believe). I think it was something to do with them not getting on, or that Graham had screwed PAul in some way. It´s so long ago now, I can´t exactly remeber and I haven´t been able to find anythng. But I am very sure it was to do with this Bill Graham guy!
