I know a lot of Rhythm Of The Saints was recorded in Brazil (at least the back-ups) and I know he went there for some time because that´s what he sings about in Spirit Voices and maybe some of the other songs, but is there any more information about his account of the trip? There was a huge deal made about him going to South Africa but I can´t find much about his travels in South America. I´m going to South America (Ecuador) tomorrow so I was just interested in knowing...even though this might be a little late. LOL.

Have a look at thedreamerofmusic.com and go to ´how was it made´.
Enjoy your trip!

Thank you for this tip!

Paul Simon also told, that during one of his visits in the jungle he met a boy (I think), who played "The sound of silence" on his flute (I think), of course without knowing that the composer sat next to him.

This was of course a thrill for both, but more for Simon.
