 | This is really not important. Something So Right for the weekend. Paul Simon is, as other pop-musicians (Roger Daltrey, Elton John, Phil Collins, Kate Bush etc.)small, the smallest of all the famous ones.
My experience is, small people have more power, maybe to compensate for this "fault" (when you are a child, the others will always tell you it is a fault).
What might Simon really think about Randy Newman`s only hit "Short people"?
My point is, that on many, if not most of his TV-appearances he drops his(surely in advance carefully adjusted to his size) microphone before starting to sing. Guess he does not notice it himself. |

 | Hm, I believe he noticed it - a long time ago - because of the joke he made about it on the "Paul Simon special" |

 | Ditto Bodo. I get the feeling people think Paul is taller than he really is, hence the mike problem :-D

 | P.s. Randy Newman is one of the greatest american composers and has had far,far more than one hit song...and has a couple of oscars for best song in film. |

 | A few years ago my wife and I were travelling through Israel (so slight PS connection!), and the driver of a bus asked us to sit at the front with him so he could talk to us. The conversation went like this: ´So you´re English?´ ´Yes.´ ´And you have feet instead of metres?´ ´Yes.´ ´And pounds instead of kilos?´ ´Yes.´ ´And pints instead of litres?´ ´Yes.´ ´Oi oi oi! No wonder you lost the Empire!´ |
