 | The song book cover has this girl who is said to be the one who travelled with S&G in England and also the one mentioned in the song "America" - "Kathy I am lost" ... Is it true?

 | Yes...more precisely, she made a long travel with Paul...:-) she was his girlfriend when he was in England...her name was Kathy Chitty, they met in a folk club...she inspired him "America", "Homeward Bound" and obviously "Kathy´s Song"...

| And during a PS tour some years ago, while Paul was in England, she sent him a letter and the media of course could not let pass this "event" and asked for a meeting bewteen the two ex lovers but they refused. |

| The media dug her out of North Wales several years ago ....I think there was a picture of her hanging out her washing!
I read somewhere that they did meet again after the last solo concerts but I don´t think it was anything to do with the press.
Could be wrong on this, but it´s what I recall of events. |

 | I wonder, on the Old Friends dvd, when Art starts to sing Kathy´s Song, he is saying something like, I wanna dedicate this song to the Love of my life, kathy, who later became my wife?? I never understood this, since I thought she was Paul´s girlfriend. can sombody please explain this?? Or am I just being stupid, and did I miss something??? |

| I seem to remeber reading an interview with Art where he said it was somthing he called her. Why Kim, I´m not sure, but it´s obviously something special between them.
