 | In my opinion, it can only be positive as each time Paul has tried to explore new musics, it has been great (even if it has not been always successful... :-)). Anyway, as we already know, Paul is working with Brian Eno for this new album and that´s for sure already unusual for him !! |

 | Now it´s become very exciting to look out for Paul´s new album, I also think it can only be positive, Paul is very good in exploring new musics.
I´m curious where they record the new album, the hit factory NY will be closed, but I don´t know how soon that will be. You can find the article in the news section. |

 | i am glad to see that other people are as excited as i am.
aberham laborial is THE finest bassist that i have ever heard. i am more than positive that he could do the solo on "You Can Call Me Al" especially after seeing him live. the things that he was doing were amazing and far beyond that solo. aberham is pretty Old so maybe thats why he hasnt toured with paul.
"Goin´ for the throat with this one" means that they "arent pulling any stops." they arent holding back and they are going to ´kill the compitition,´ if you will. i hope taht helps.
i am so excited for the new album as well as incredibly interested in what brian eno will do with pauls songs! |

 | it IS true. ive read about it and aberham laborial mentioned it, as well. it seems like such a strange pick for producer, but it only means that paul has something up his sleeve. |

 | Hmm, Eno is the guy for rockier stuff, isn´t he? As far as I remember, he produced U2´s last album(s). |

 | Seen on Brian Eno´s official website : "Thanks to Richard Joly & Tim Church who say that Paul Simon is working with Brian on an album. It´s just a one-line reference in an AP feature about Simon & Garfunkel´s reunion tour."

 | no, not really. he only said what i wrote down. he did say that brian eno is producing the album, so i imagine that his involvement is pretty big.
i am actually going to see abraham laboriel and his son, abraham laboriel jr, play tonight in L.A. at a jazz club.
i will see if i can get any more information from him. :^) |

 | I never have seen a picture of Abraham Laboriel sen. , and just a few weeks back I watched the MACCA live DVD and suddenly saw that the drummers name was Abraham Laboriel. You can imagine, I really was confused for a few seconds, first I thought, wow thats one of Paul Simons musicians too...then..hm, there´s something wrong, he should be playing bass :-). Finally I thought it´s a concidence that they share the same name. I never thought this could be his son. |
