 | Following on from the 2005 tour thread, if Paul was to tour, where would be the best place you´d like to see him? I don´t mean your living room or anything, but a real venue where he could realistically play.
I was at the Liverpool concert in 2002 and it was amazing, but my vote would definitely be The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. Maybe 2000 seats, great auditorium. Every time I go there I fantasize about one day the lights dimming and Paul walking out with just an acoustic guitar...
Go on Paul, play there next time you´re in England please!
Where would everyone else´s dream venue be? |

 | The Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam would be great, holds 5000 people, good sound.
Or Vredenburg in Utrecht, very good acoustics, holds 1700 people. |

 | I would prefer strange places like Stonehenge, the Pyramides... on Ayers Rock.
Hm, or ISCHGL here in my home staate. Ischgl is a skiing village and every year they have a big concert. It´s called the ´highest concert arena of the world - I don´t know if thats true.
But it´s around 3000 meters high on a glacier.
And it´s cold there, very cold. Think last year Sting played, the year before Elton John, and this year Anastacia.
Hm... I guess Paul wouldn´t be attractive enough for the concert promoters there :-( |

 | In full agreement about the Liverpool concert. Would like to see him play the Lowry in Salford....a really small intimate venue. |

 | Yeah, Marieno, I was going to say, my backyard. ;) Really anywhere that I can go and get either the orchestra pit or front row, a small venue. |

 | Fillmore auditorium in Denver, Colorado would be my pick. I saw him there a few years ago, it was pretty rockin. Real small venue, no seats, holds about 2,000 or so, was real intimate. |

 | I wish he would come to Prospera Place, in Kelowna, BC.
Although it´s highly unlikely, you never know, we´ve had artists like Ray Charles, Sting, Cher and Elton John come. It only holds about 6,000 people, so it would be a nice, small audience. |

 | Living room would be great, I even would allow (some) friends to come...
Of course nearly everybody (exept Bodo) chooses a place in his country.
I think that the sound in some open air places, which are built like greek theaters with a half circle/round and seats/places slightly rising have the best sound I know. In many halls it is very difficult creating a good sound because of echo-effects, and during soundcheck you cannot calculate the influence of textiles of visitors etc. on all places. To me it is always important to sit in the middle, better than being a little nearer to the stage and sit too far left or right.
But I don`t like big stadiums! Was at Pink Floyd in Cologne with 60.000 people - no music, but a spectacle. When the drummer, you could see him with a telescope, did a big bang, you could count up to three until the noise reached your ears.
A very good and romantic place is the Loreley at the Rhine, of course in Germany. Don`t know about any places outside my country. |

 | I know a great concert place here in the South of France, where I have already been several times and I have always imagined how great it would be to see Paul there : it´s in S?te,(for the people who know that city :-)), it´s an open air theater, not very large, the stage is very low and the audiance is very close but the greatest thing is that the sea is right behind that stage and you have an incredible view on it and can see the boats passing by and the sun going down ! Very romantic... :-)
For a larger place, the Nîmes Arena would be great too and Paul has already played there but unfortunately, I was not living in the South at that time :-(
