Does the subtitles run in your DVD? I´ve got Power DVD player, but the "subs" do not work. ((:-d

| Hm, thats right. I tried once but then tought it doesn´t have subtitles (I didn´t look on the case)
I could rip it and see if the subtitle stream is included. If there is a stream it´s possible to make a new DVD out of it... but it´s some work and I don´t need it for the song lyrics ;-)
It only would be interesting for the talks between the songs. Maybe some english talking people could write them down here for everyone who doesn´t speak english very well, and we translate it to German, French, Czech, ... ?

| Hi Bodo, I interesting for their conversation too. F.E. in the conversation about their name (Garfunkel and Simon) is Paul talkin something to Art, I hear only "May I...", but I don´t know what follows.
Are you sure that the "born-speakers" understand to them:-))? |

| I´ve ripped the DVD now to see if it has subtitles - and the answer is no.
Maybe the Region 1 DVD has subtitles? But it´s strange that they mention them on the box but don´t include the english subtitles.

Kathy´s Song
Art: I´m the one who had to have this next song in the show because I think it´s Paul´s most beautiful Love song, I´ve been loving it for a long time. It takes me back to the days when the two of us used to live in England, we were 22 years Old we would sing in folk clubs all around the country, and we´d sing on the sidewalks so we could make some money, because we were poor. How nice poverty looks in retrospect. They called it busking and we were buskers, in London and in Paris and we´d bring our friend Kathy, she´d collect the money in a sailors cap that I can still see in my mind´s eye. And she was so pretty - this is Kathy´s Song and I dedicate it to my beautiful wife Katherine.

Tom and Jerry Story
Art: It´s pretty easy to sing when the songs are this good. Paul and I go back to the sixth grade, we grew up in Queens. They cast the two of us in the elementary school graduation play, Alice in Wonderland. I was the cheshire cat, and it´s been a lot of laughs ever since. With a few interruptions this year would be the fiftieth anniversary of this friendship that I deeply cherish.
Paul: We met when we were eleven years old, in Alice in Wonderland. I was the white rabbit. It´s a leading role. And Artie was the cheschire cat, a supportive role. A very important supportive role. We started singing together when we were thirteen years old and we started arguing when we were fourteen. So that makes it fortyseventh anniversary of our argueing. Now we don´t argue anymore. Now we say "That´s our opinion and I respect that."
We made our first record when we were sixteen years old, they called us Tom and Jerry and the song was called Hey Schoolgirl in the Second Row. It went like this.

The Everly Brothers Intro
Paul: There is some debate as to where the woo ba ba loochipa came from. Some scholars feel it comes from the Little Richard ??????, Artie thinks we got it from Gene Vincent´s record Be bob a lula.
Art: But I respect the Little Richard theory. No, we only argued about one thing; if you wanna know the truth. From the very beginning, there´s only one thing that was the basis of everything else. When we first formed our group I wanted to call us Garfunkel and Simon.
Paul: You should do that.
Art: He convinced me that it should be alphabetical.
Paul: Now we´re the ????? brothers.
Paul: May I continue?
Art: Say a few more lines.
Paul: So we don´t know where the line came from but the sound that we were trying to make when we were fifteen sixteen years old, that was the Everly Brothers. The Everlys were our heroes and they were our models. And it´s with enormous pleasure that I introduce you to Don and Phil.

Paul: Of the songs that I wrote in the seventies I.. - a couple of them I used to think this would make a good Simon and Garfunkel record. And in fact many of the songs I wrote were greatly enhanced by the fact that Art Garfunkel sang them. So thank you.
