A rumour: Paul´s new album comes out sometime this year, end of January maybe!!
What do you think rumour or fact?
And anyway how good would it be if his new album did come out now- I´m still getting over Old Friends. Woohoo!!!

I *highly* doubt it will be out by the end of January, but in the up coming Spring I´m hoping.

Anyways, I am extremely excited and ready for it... We´ve waited 5 long years!

It will come out when he thinks it`s finished. And as we know, mostly he "Think(s) too much"!

He had about 5 months time if he was on vacation after the tour with Garfunkel since Rome July 31.

Not much considering that it was only "half finished" before.

A good sign is when you hear absolutely nothing from him - then he is at work. And songwriting and recording is easy to combine with his private life.

A rumour.

Paul has rarely published his albums in spring so it doesn´t sound probable. Generally most albums are published in fall or before Christmas. I´m patient.

By the way: There´s lots of great music in the world. Just listening to Paul´s can´t be healthy! And I say it to all of those who only listen to Paul.

But he did sing a new song called Wartime Prayers somewhere, didn´t he?

It is possible that the album is issued in fall. That´s my guess. Should we start betting :) ?

I don´t think Paul would wait til Autumn or Christmas just because it´s Autumn or Christmas : that would be stupid ! He will release his album once it´s ready, final point !

And yes, there are tons of other great musics and artists in the world not to listen to them !

Ok, well I don´t just listen to Paul´s music lol...

I´m just wondering when his new album is coming, since there´s been rumors about it ever since the beginning of the S&G tour.

PS Yes, Paul sang Wartime Prayers at that VH1 show with John Mayer, I do believe, but it got cut.

Paul is a music legend, but there are great people out there besides him, you may laugh but right now i am really into Katie Meluia (sos cnt spell. I don´t think Paul will release in the build up to Christmas because Old Friends came out relatively close to christmas and i don´t thinl he likes to repeat himself. Mid to late spring i say, i hope end of Jan though, that would get rid of the Christmas blues, right?

"Paul Simon" was released in January 1972, There goes... in May 1973, Still crazy in October 1975, One-trick-pony in August 1980, Hearts And Bones in late summer 1983, Graceland in August 1986, Rhythm of in Autumn 1990, because Paul Simon shortly decided to make his voice a little bit louder and understandable.

So he really doesn`t wait, when finally ready! For such a slow worker this would be stupid indeed!
He looses this time, because he can only promote and go on tour after the release and never works on new songs before presenting the latest.

...and Capeman was released in november 1997 and You´re The One in October 2000.

Ok. Paul doesn´t wait when he´s ready but the album can´t be finished yet because of the tour with Garfunkel.

(I´m just a typical Finnish pessimist.)
