I got " Old Friends" DVD this Christmas. I was very happy, but now I´m sad, ´cause I haven´t any program for playing DVD. I´ve got DVD-rom, but my PC can´t open the files on the DVD (I see the programs, but they are strange for my PC).
What kind of software do you use? Can I download some software at Internet?
How can I do...:-(

oh, you need a dvd docoder.
That´s easy, i install softwares that have the decoding ability. If you install the dvd software, then all other player on your computer will have the decoding ability. Which makes you watch your favoite DVD!

My softwares is the WinDVD 2000.

I usualy don´t watch DVD on my computer but Windows Mediaplayer plays them. Also Intervideo WinDVD is an option. Google around for that and you can at least download a free trial version.

the window media player can´t play dvd, because it doesn´t have the decoding abilities, some older versions might have the ability. So, there isn´t much free dinners, i suggest get a WinDVD.

Oh, and one more thing, do you have a DVD-Rom, because a cd-rom can´t read DVDs.

Try the VLC player, if you don´t own a commercial software which should have come with your DVD-Rom.

Anyway: http://www.videolan.org/

For me, it works fine on Win XP.

Wow, I just realised I have used the word "telly", I am just wondering if this term for television is used in other countries or is it just us English?
