Why do people always interpret something into things, when they don´t know anything about it?
Just to say something?

The flags here are NOT POLITICAL.
I got the request from some forum members if I could programm something to show the country of everyone here in the forum. And I thought too that this is a nice idea, it looks good and it isn´t any special information, and at least it is not political. The information may sometimes even not be correct, as you can see John who is from England always get´s the Swedish flag because he is working at a swedish company, and BingFrisby is using the AOL internet service, so he get´s the US flag. If you use a proxy server then most of you will get the US flag.
But at ~95% the information is right.

Are you so ashamed of your country that no one should know where you come from? That´s sad for you, well I´m from Austria and I´m proud of that, even if we have a politican named Haider and World War 1 was started by this country, the guy who started Word War II was born here and the next US president maybe will be Arnold Schwarzenegger (so be carefull when voting the next time in the USA ;-) )

To speak with Heine:

"Die altdeutschen Narren verdarben
mir (...) die Lust an den schwarz-rot-goldnen Farben."

(The Old-German fools spoiled my delight in the black-red-golden colours.)

I don´t mind quoting that below each of my rare posts ;-)

We are so sorry for you and your country Bodo : we do sympathize ;-)!
Leaving the joke behind, yes, those flags are very nice and it´s always good to know where the people we are talking to come from and for sure, nothing to see with racism or politic !

All countries have black pages in their history.
I agree with Nathalie, nice to know where people come from, and who knows, maybe these flags can develop new friendships between people here.

Yes, but would you be surprised if they change the constitution just to make him president ?

But I think, Oarnold won´t have a chance against Hillary anyway...

@marmotte

I have the feeling they gona chance this (the constitution)... after Bush there´s a free run on the president´s seat, and Schwarzenegger would be the best choice for the republicans.

We celebrate xmas mikey, but we have a ´Christkindl´ (christchild) who brings the gift´s and not Santa. That´s tradition, but in the last years the f...... company´s are trying to change that and want to sell us Santa Clause. (there now exist organisations called ´Save the Christchild´...
The companys only do that because the traditional Christchild is invisible (you never can see it when it brings the gift´s, and it comes in the evening of Dec. 24, not at night when everyone is sleeping... so when you are a child you always wonder when it came, and the parents have to use some good tricks to hide the gifts under the tree)

Anyway, today we have all US xmas movies on TV and there you can see a Santa. And the companys know - what you see is what you can sell, you can´t sell invisible Christkindl´s. So they try to destroy our tradition.

What video do you want to see mikey? I have the S&G videos of 2003 if you don´t have them all...

You´re absolutely right Bodo, I thought the same when I saw all the Santas in the windows of other peoples appartments instead of "real" xmas-decoration.
