 | I´ve always wondered, do you think that Paul ever frequents some of his fan sites online?
Do you suppose that he´s ever tripped onto this site and read what we´ve written? If he did what do you think he would think about it? |

 | He doesn´t know anything about the internet or computers. At least in 2000 he said so... maybe he learned something from his kids ;-)
I don´t know if Eddie visits this site, I believe not.

 | I´d probably be embarrassed if he had a look at my site because it´s so dilettantic (does that word exist??)...The link was in that fan book Esther gave to Paul´s office so who knows... |

 | Alt Music Paul Simon and it´s the place where you can post messages about Paul and you go there through Google.
And Eddie has already posted there once |

 | You don´t have to go through google, that´s a very slow way of posting there. Better to get a proper newsreader and post that way. If you do go through google...use google beta groups as it is supposed to be faster. |

>> out the exceptionally subtle key change in the last verse of Still Crazy After All These Years?

Have you checked out the change in time signatures in Bernadette. It gives the
illusion of a radical tempo change. But in fact the beat never slows down.
Very sophisticated, never would happen in Old doo wop, but a kool adaptation by
Paul.
(I posted this observation once before but never received a response. It is for
musicians like yourself.)

>It´s just a question of semantics. Did you read the part about Paul spending hald an hour going around the room to find the right place for the tambourine?? It´s pefectionism. What I don´t get is why so many people see that as a problem.
Eddie Simon posted
Well, not so fast. You may be making the same mistake as Dubner. Why do you assume there was no musical reason to pursue the tambourine sound?
Much of the music in the Capeman is latin. If he obsesses about anything it is authenticity. Latin music is about rhythm. It is the essence of the music. . To me it is completely sensible to search for the right balance until the "feel" is absolutely right. Remember the reader is really not informed about
the context in which the tambourine incident took place. Paul writes from the rhythm track. My guess, Paul was chasing after a tight rhythm groove.
That being said, I´m not so sure that the placement of musical instruments in the theatre is insignificant.
