That´s not true. The tracks from Old Friends were from the 1967 show at Lincoln Center. It even mentions that 12 of the tracks on the 1967 Live CD were unreleased- the other tracks were on old friends.

I think some confusion is because Art makes a joke before they sing Leaves That Are Green and says, "ahhh...Carnegie Hall". It was just a joke.

Yes, I have both cds, the tracks in the "Old Friends" set are from the 1967 show at the Lincoln Center. I also think the confusion is from the joke that Artie made.

Yes, Sir Stuart and Kathie, you´re right.Jan ´67 Lincoln centre.I once went to a site which said a forthcoming perfomance of the Carnegie Hall show was to be released. The info must have meant the Lincoln centre.I also got 3 S&G live downloads once that were titled Carnegie Hall but turned out to be the Lincoln tracks...It is confusing.I remember Paul Simon at the M.S.G. show,2003, introducing "Leaves That Are Green" saying "The last time we performed this song live was Carnegie Hall,1967".That is confusing too, as it was performed live in Amsterdam in 1970 on the "Bridge" tour.So Paul´s recollection was wrong there. So was there ever actually a performance at Carnegie Hall, and if so was it professionally recorded? There can´t be a mystery like this that goes unresolved on this site!
