 | I don´t think you can find tabs of lead guitar of PS songs in a shop... I´m afraid your ears are the only solution ... for the intro of The Boxer, are you talking of the arpege wich bass sounds like C/G E/C/G E... ? |

 | Listen, I hate to say this, but as a guitarist for almost 12 years, if your fingers do not reach to all those strings, then you have yourself a problem.
You are going to find it hard to play a lot of Pauls music if you don´t start training your fingers to do the work. There are books on it, if you really want to learn.
There are also many books online written by Paul with cd´s that go step by step on how to play a lot of his most famous works including the intro to The Boxer. If you look on Amazon.com you will find them.
As for myself, I agree with what everyone else has told you. Sometimes your ears are your best bet. A book won´t tell you everything because durring a performance, a lot of musicians when they start to really feel the music, start to improvise. That happens a lot, that is why not every live performance you hear is going to sound the same.
Good luck to you!

 | Lol paul does not do the intro i can play what paul plays, just i am more of an improviser myself, but the intro to The Boxer is not as simple as making a cake, no matter who you are without a capo it is not easy streatching my fingers to the third 5th and 7th fret and then moving down a whole notch etc.. i know what is going on when i play pauls music i play by ear half the time my self, i just want to be able to play the kool parts perfect, paul dosnt play those parts the lead players do lol...hmmmm |

 | "Paul Simon transcribed" by "Mark Hanson" is the book you are searching for.
It only includes ~12 songs.
Don´t buy the cheap books on amazon or somehere telling you they have 100 transcribed Paul Simon songs - they only have the chords or cheap useless tab´s |
