 | In know that there are a lot of people out there who are fans of both groups, myself included, but if you had to compare the lyrics and the music, who do you think would stand out in your mind, and why?

 | I actually LOVED the Beatles- they were my favorite band in the world! And then....I discovered Paul Simon and there is simply no comparison. While Lennon and McCartney were still writing "I want to Hold your Hand", Paul Simon was writing "The Sound of Silence." Do I even have to explain the difference?
The bottom line is that Paul Simon has far more sophisticated Rhyme Schemes and far deeper messages. He is on another level! |

 | I think a better question would be which Beatles songs would you like to hear Paul sing? I would Love to hear his take on something like "The Long and Winding Road." As an S&G number that would be perfect. Similarly, I reckon Paul could do wonders with "Get Back," imagine that one live with him singing and playing the guitar. I think it would sound pretty cool, like a raucous Mrs Robinson. I think Paul McCartney could do a grand job re-interpreting some of Paul´s gentler numbers like "St Judy´s Comet" or "Something So Right." |

 | I know Paul personally, trust you me he knows his stuff is on another level, he also appreciates that the world, for the most part, hasn´t figured that out yet.
But that´s the world for you. |

 | Hard to compare. Paul Simon is my favorite, but I quite enjoy the Beatles as well. I do have to say that I think Paul is deeper and has a method to his madness whereas when the Beatles were crazy it just kind of sounded, well, crazy. |
