Okay here it is...( I know, this is sooooo pathetic, but at least I am being honest)
All( and I mean ALL) the times Paul has been on SNL, (Saturday Night Live, in case there are a few people out there who do not know what I am reffering to.) I have by some inane chance, MISSED IT!!!!!!!
Can anyone out there describe some of the funny sketches Paul has been in?
I know ( having read one of Paul´s biographies) that there was a sketch where Artie and Paul are on together and Paul looks at him and says,"Came crawling back eh?" Is that true?
E! channel here plays all the SNL reruns, but for some reason, they never seem to play Paul´s!!!!
I especially want to see the one where Paul met Edie Brickell for the first time. She said that you can see while she is singing where she and Paul laid eyes on each other for the first time because she falters in her song somewhere. Did anyone out there actually catch that part?

Isa, there are special sites about SNL on the web - for example a SNL episode guide, describing every cast, every skatch and every song they performed. The even have a search function.
I don´T know the url at the moment, but I´m sure you will find it in a few minutes on google.

It has several sketches with Paul written down word for word.

http://snltranscripts.jt.org/

This has alot of transcripts of the times he´s been on SNL...I´ve only seen a few episodes with him on it, but yes the "So you came crawling back?" joke did happen. It was all in good fun though!

I think all the episodes I´ve seen are...Paul hosting in 1975 (w/Artie), Paul as musical guest on the Charles Grodin episode, and Artie´s episode. If only I knew how to transfer stuff from tape to the computer!! :(

Isa, theres also a site you might know about that has one "DeMarco Bros" sketch on it and his performance of "Hurricane Eye" (wonderful!) If you haven´t seen those yet, do try and find them! (On Heartsandbones or something I think...)

Hope I could help!! And if you have any more questions about him being on SNL, just ask...I´m a huge fan of the show, so I know a little bit about it lol

Kath and Bodo- Thanks for your answers! I will look up the skethches online that you suggested. I hope one day they will release some of these sketches on dvd. That would be awesome!
Kath- I Love SNL too! I recently saw one the other day with Garth Brooks hosting. In one of the last sketches he was dressed as a Smurf. I thought I was going to fall on the floor laughing! Did you ever see that one?
Recently E! Channel hosted the 101 greatest moments on SNL......I watched all of it hoping that Paul would be on one of them. He finally came in I think in the top 10, but it was in a sketch with Tom Hanks and Steve Martin. They were part of some exclusive club where you have to host SNL at least 5 times to be a part of. It was very funny!

I´ve never seen the Garth Brooks one lol, I don´t have the E! Channel, so I never got to see that 101 Greatest Moments...:(

And the 5 Timers Club sketch is one of the best sketches ever. I remember watching it when I was way younger (before I knew who Paul even was lol) and laughing my head off! I would Love to see that episode again! :)

PS I too hope it appears on a DVD somewhere! I personally think they should make a ´Best of Paul Simon´ because he has hosted many times, and been the MG alot!!

Oh, but you can see a *couple* of small clips on the SNL 25th Anniversary DVD...Mostly just the part with the Sweeney sisters singing to him..Hahah!
