Harper Simon will be playing support for Marianne Faithful in June. Here´s the blurb from the venue:

ROCKEFELLER PRODUCTIONS presents Marianne Faithfull at the Grand Canal Theatre on 23 June 2010

Easy Come, Easy Go is the 22nd album from Marianne Faithfull and was recorded in December 2007 in NYC at the famous Sear Sound recording studio. Produced by Hal Willner. All the songs have been chosen by Marianne and Hal, and range from Billie Holiday´s ´Solitude´ to ´The Crane Wife´ by current band The Decemberists. Other tracks are ´Sing Me Back Home´(featuring Keith Richards),´Children of Stone´, the title song ´Easy Come, Easy Go Blues´ by Bessie Smith, Morrissey´s ´Dear God Please Help Me´, Dolly Parton´s ´Down from Dover´ and Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club´s ´Salvation´

Marianne will recreate ´Easy Come, Easy Go´ and many of her ´classics´ (Sister Morphine, Broken English, Ballad of Lucy Jordan etc.) on stage using the same band as she did on her world tour - she is just coming back from a sell out in Australia.

As well as the new material, Marianne will be performing a selection of hits from her back catalogue, all in all it promises to be a fantastic show!

Paul goes bluegrass, new album in Fall

from Bodo , 2010-03-26

According to an interview on WFDU radio with the band Quicksilver Paul recorded with them a kind of Afro-Cuban song with bluegrass instruments.
Interesting is also, that Mr. Simon seems to like youtube, he decided to contact the band Quicksilver after watching some clips on youtube, which Jerry Douglas recommended to him to watch for his search of a bluegrass band.

What makes these news even more exciting is a statement by Josh from Quicksilver - they hope that they can go on tour with Paul, after the album comes out in the Fall!
