Jay Ashby

Jay played in Pauls band from 1999 till 2002 on 4 tours playing trombone and some percussion instruments (like triangle).

Paul was not sure how a trombone would sound on his songs (none of his songs original includes that instrument), but Jay - who is a worldwide known famous jazz player - rewrote all of his songs and added his trombone sound. The most famous song was ´50 ways to leave your lover´ where he played a wonderful solo.

Jay did not appear on any Paul Simon studio albums (but you see him on the You´re the one DVD)
