Anthony Jackson


Anthony Jackson is an American Bassist born in 1952. Jackson became a session bassist at the age of 18. Around 1974 Jackson came up with the idea for a six-string bass which he began to play exclusivley in 1981. He is credited with the invention of the six-string bass preceeding any modern six-string bass by twenty years. Anthony Jackson has worked with Steely Dan, Chick Corea, Buddy Rich, and Paul Simon just to name a few.
