| As a Chaplain, Pat Hoffman devoted a half of her 80 years caring for people living and dying with HIV/AIDS. She wants to quote a line from "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" in her memoir. How can she get Mr. Simon's permission to use that line of lyrics? She previously wrote, "AIDS & The Sleeping Church," and "Ministry of the Dispossessed" about her many years in the farm labor movement.

| Hello Art. Quoting, also called citation, is always allowed. There no need for permission to Quote a line or phrase..or 3 , 4 Lines.
Selling a book with lyrics is a problem |

| That said, just write something like.. As Paul Simon once wrote "like a bridge over troubled water, I will..."
Or reference to Paul Simon in the appendix.
