Strange that he plays "Feeling Groovy". He recently said that he hated it.

I know that the tour is called "Homeward Bound", but even so I find it hard to understand why he plays it so regularly on different tours. Already after Central Park 1981 he said that "Homeward Bound" was the song that really didn't want to include in the concert.

A mind changes.
Homeward Bound is a beautiful song and one of his first hits. A song from his pre simon and garfunkel time and connected to his friends in the UK.

He sang "I hate this song" as a verse of feeling groovy.just to make fun. He was very relaxed. I am glad he adds in more different songs and i really hope he is doing a few songs with james taylor then...

There are a few songs, not much, that I never really liked. Feeling Groovy, Overs, Cars are cars... I love the majority tough.

I think Feelin' groovy is a fresh moment in the set, something light. For that reason it's a good addition.
'
I said I love the set and I stand by it. Of course it is filled with hits, because it is his farewell and ROTS being my favorite album, so I think it is great to see I can't run but, The obvious child, The cool cool river and Spirit voices.

We know Silent Eyes, Learn how to fall.... it'll never happen, but that's ok with me.

I agree with Bodo on the lack of experiments with new material... Only 1 STS track, nothing of YTO and a few other albums and somehow Rewrite never leaves the setlist. Why that song is so often in the setlist is beyond me. I kind of enjoyed it, but it is not great IMHO

I kind of feel that this is like a tour like the Simon and Sting tour: he is playing in front of bigger audience, who for the most part have not bought any of his music since ROTS. The last tour 'for fans' was probably two years ago. So I guess it makes sense that recent songs are quite rare.

QFTA: a bit overrated in my opinion ! Just because you have a nice line about animals not caring if the human race disappears does not make it the ultimate plea for ecology !

Never been on FB so far, lots of it having to do with was mentioned. I have always been a favor of true dialogue and critic, nothing sanitized. Thank you Bodo !

As for the idea that this his tour and his choice, yes it is. But it does take two to tango when we talk about shows. And I will never feel guilty for expressing my opinion when one pays hundreds of dollars to see him, traveling hours by car, taking a plane for it or a leave from work, etc.

I love American tune! I hope that one stays in the set. Gumboots is alright, but I think there shouldnt be a Graceland overkill...

It was played last night in Montreal.

Really liked the set of songs with yMusic. It was the 9th time I was seeing him, and still innovative and fresh.

The sound of B. Kumalo and Biodun Kuti was just jaw-dropping.

Something that was noticed by me and my party of friends is that Garfunkel is radically banished. Even in the picture recapitulation of his career, we see Art's pic once (Wednesday 3:00 a.m. album cover) ! And the hypocrisy reigns as he, seriously (!), says he tries to do BOTW to reappropriate it, not because of Garfunkel's iconic interpretation, but because he did not feel like he wrote it; it rathered emerged from him. Elephant in the room...

Another big ego-trip from PS that tour...

Please a kind request. I had this feeling Mog is decribing too. But not interpreting in the way like Mog does here. I think Paul Simon did a hell of a job by transfermong this song. He was never content with the third verse. Apparently he did not leave it away. On the contrary. He sang it the same way like Art Garfunkel did> Of course it is to be understood that pics of Art Garfunkel are not to be seen during the Paul Simon Farewell Tour. I have the entire video. So live in peace with eachother here on this forum.
