Youre welcome Brenda.

It came up on my favourite jazz channel (TSF jazz paris) yesterday.
It is funny how my brain is trained on every Paul Simon phrase, I am listening to the radio stream just as a background music, but whenever a Paul Simon cover is played I am alerted after the first 3-4 words, while otherwise I could listen to the radio for hours and not remember 1 song they played.

The second best song on ROTS. Interesting version, not in Japanese language, which would be strange...

The best is Further to fly.

IMO of course.

I am not very fond of this "soft" jazz style, very Norah Jones or Diana Krall style...just want to go to sleep when i hear this style of songs...
But the live version is better, i listened the version Youn Sun Nah did live on a French radio, it was not bad at all.

Did she explain in the French interview why she was interested in this song in particular ? It isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but at the same time it is difficult to judge cover songs as long as they bring something new to the piece without being disrespectful of the original.

Maybe one of our French speaking members could let us know if she discussed the song in the interview around the 5 minute mark in the second link B

She does not speak specifically of the song "She moves on", she only explains that she chose the songs for her album because of their melody but also and mostly, because of their lyrics.

By the way, she speaks a very, very good french!

Thank you Marieno. I was interested to read that Youn Sun Nah studied French Literature at University in Korea and moved to France in 1995 to study Jazz and chanson. She has also taught and worked in France, From Wikipedia
