This Song, or lets say this rocky Version, is not a good example to judge arts voice.
Just 2 weeks ago we had a Video of him singin scarborough and He clearly could not sing it. There have been a few chords that He is missing in his voice now completely, so He simply did not sing those words. He also can Not sing bridge.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OM3QJjRmBZk
Go to Minute 1:20... Parser sage..... Lost voice.

It seems as if He can Not controll his voice for a longer period, thats why his concerts are short and He is talking a lot between Songs. Even with those pauses it is just luck if He can sing a Song without a Problem. Maybe that explains his strange behaviour and anger on stage.
Of course, a devote fan might just ignore those problems.

Paul will not sing together again with him, i hope so.
His voice is in great shape and He will stop singin in public as soon as it is not longer up at 100%. He already said last year that He might have to retire soon (at least when his voice makes problems) and it is more Hard work to keep the voice at that age. Also Art said that Paul is a jerk.

His voice is better than a few years ago but still it is not the same. There is something missing, he struggles with high notes. Paul's voice sounds much better, still in good shape! Some songs from Paul a few weeks ago...

It's painful to listen to him when he struggles with the voice without reaching anywhere.... I would never pay for being submitted to that.

Responding to Bodo's post, I am an Artie devotee actually... i saw him several times in London in the 90s and the 00s, and there were great concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and other venues.

However i have to admit that the video here, plus others i have seen, suggests that his voice has in no way recovered...there is a sound coming out but it is not what it was and to me it is uncomfortable to listen to.

I must ask Bodo what does the fact that Artie called Paul a jerk have to do with whether Artie's voice has recovered or not ??. I can't see the connection...either Artie's voice has recovered or it hasn't,..surely calling Paul a jerk has nothing to do with it, so why mention it??????

I treated myself this weekend on along drive to listen to Simon & Garfunkels Greatest hits as an album no shuffle just like I played it ad nauseum as a teenager over 40 yrs ago. It was beautiful!!! Those particular versions of the well known songs came to me as being the most familiar version every little murmer, clap or cheer. That album was the start of my life long love for the 1960s S&G and the 70s Garfunkel & finally the 80s 90s 00s & 10s Paul Simon. The 1960s S&G cannot be recreated - let's leave them there & love them for it!!

I think the reason Bodo referred to the "Jerk " comment Baggy was in relation to Jon's comment that it would be awfully nice if they sang together again. I believe that interview and comment has destroyed any chance of that ever happening even if Art's voice has fully recovered which it has not. Though it has certainly improved from a year or so ago. Also his behaviour on stage is still erratic. As recently as 11 Feb he walked off at Marseilles with his guitar player and left the interpreter on stage alone after an audience member yelled out to talk less and sing .Not an isolated instance either. Did the same in Dec 2016 when he was distracted by 4 people standing at the rear of the hall and at another show he was annoyed because a curtain over a fire door was open. It would be embarrassing if he did this during a S and G and G show.

Paul confirms here in an audio interview with Bill Flanagan a few months ago why a reunion will never happen.

As regulars here know, I first saw S&G in 1967 (twice) and then in 2003 and 2004 (with lots of solo Simon concerts in between). I love the sound of S&G, but Garfunkel can't perform on a high enough level to share the stage with Paul anymore. I think he knows it and that is part of the reason he called Paul all those names. Now Paul says no more S&G and so Garfunkel tries to blame it on Paul. However even if Art hadn't said those things, there would be no reunion because Art can't sing anywhere near the level he once did.

Baggy. Jon was hopefull that S&G should sing together again. This will not happen for 2 reasons:
a) Voice problems
b) Art calling Paul a jerk and idiot in the recent years via media.

Thats why I mentioned it.

Have to disagree Michiel . Reason enough for Paul I would say. Thankfully he has the good sense to stay clear of another reunion for very valid reasons. He does not need the aggravation at this time of his life.
'“There’s a guy who’s wrestling with his demons,” says Simon. “And I understand it’s a hard battle he’s fighting but if you get close to him, you’ll be in the battle, and you’ll get hit. That’s the way it always is. The stuff he said in the press, it wasn’t very nice, and it really wasn’t accurate. I don’t know why he’s mad at me, I really don’t. He’s mad at a lot of people.”

Bodo .I would also add another reason .
2c - Throwing a wobbly and walking off stage a number of times. Very sad .

Well, they are not on speaking terms, that's the real reason, and it's from both sides

Michiel, you just throw in an assumption. There is nothing ever mentioned that Paul has done in the recent 7 years against Art.
