Special story with me and Paul

Solo concert at garden state arts center around 1984. crowd was screaming song requests every time paul stopped playing. he looked bemused. i got irritated. i shouted, very loudly, "play whatever you want" just as crowd got quiet. paul heard me, pointed toward my seat and said, "this guy says play whatever i want. i will." i had a conversation with paul simon!
