The tracklisting for ´Scratch My Back´, an album on which Peter Gabriel does cover versions of other artists songs is:

´Heroes´ (David Bowie)
´The Boy In The Bubble´ (Paul Simon)
´Mirrorball´ (Elbow)
´Flume´ (Bon Iver)
´Listening Wind´ (Talking Heads)
´The Power Of The Heart´ (Lou Reed)
´My Body Is A Cage´ (Arcade Fire)
´The Book Of Love´ (The Magnetic Fields)
´I Think It’s Going To Rain Today´ (Randy Newman)

´Street Spirit´ (Radiohead)

The 12-track album is released on January 25, and is the first in a number of planned releases that will see Gabriel and other artists reinterpret each others´ songs.

On the 2nd album (I will scratch yours) there might be interpretions of other artists doin Peter Gabriel songs - so Paul should interpret one of Gabriels songs.

´Capeman´ may fly again

FROM THE NEW YORK POST 11/20/09

The latest trend in New York theater: reviving the biggest flops of all time.

Another famous flop that may come back is Paul Simon´s ´The Capeman,´ which lost $11 million on Broadway in 1998 and earned Simon the nickname ´The Flopman.´

Sources say Oskar Eustis, the head of the Public Theater, is in talks with Simon about bringing the show back next year.

´Oskar has met with Paul Simon, but there are not concrete plans at this time.´

Eustis, sources say, wants to do a concert version of the show. The book -- by Nobel Prize-winning poet Derek Walcott -- will pretty much be eliminated.
´Born in Puerto Rico,´ ´Satin Summer Nights´ and the gorgeous ´Time Is an Ocean´ are first-rate songs that got lost in the mess that wound up on Broadway.

Simon performed songs from ´The Capeman´ at BAM last year, which is where Eustis got the idea of bringing back the show.

It is said that Simon might perform in the Public Theater version as well.(really not confirmed!)

The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation hosted its Seventh Annual Gala on Friday, November 13th at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.

Over 40 celebrities and sports stars gathered to honor the Ten-time All-Star, 1999 World Series MVP and a Role Model on-and-off the field, Mariano Rivera.

Hosted by Bob Costas and Joe Torre, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, David Cone, Robinson Cano, Bernie Williams, Don Zimmer, Don Mattingly, Lee Mazzilli, Jose Cardenal and Hideki Matsui took the stage to reminisce and honor The Closer.

If that wasn’t exciting enough, the evening ended with an outstanding performance by 12-time Grammy Award winner, Paul Simon. Our 540 guests were entertained with renditions of “Me and Julio Down by the School Yard”, ´Mrs. Robinson´ and the ´The Boxer,´ which was accompanied by Bernie Williams on guitar.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to those individuals and corporations that voluntarily provided us with talent, time, goods and services. Our combined efforts give hope and support to the many children and families that are faced with abuse and violence in their lives. We hope that you will continue to be a member of our Safe At Home Team.
