It΄s official now! On october 10th Simon & Garfunkel will start their concert tour throughout 30 north american cities. You can read the press release on http://www.artgarfunkel.com. No news about touring Europe.

Well, Simon and Garfunkel will do the tour in the fall, only in the united states! For me, it's surprising, because Paul announced to cancel the tour (see former news). But after all it's set and done! (i don't know if this news is in good english, but I hope everybody can understand it)

The Everlys will be special guest

Don and Phil - The Everly Brothers - will be "Special Guests" at the S&G concerts in The United States. The tour starts October 18th in Michigan and there will be shows in major cities throughout the USA - including Madison Square Garden in New York City - with the tour ending in Florida just before Christmas.

As "Special Guests," The Everly Brothers will sing three songs by themselves, and then they'll sing one or two songs with Simon and Garfunkel.

Yes it's true - never bevore there has been a German book about Paul Simon released, but this sad period will end now in December 2003.
A total new written biography about Paul Simon will be released in Germany, it is written by a fan and includes all time periodes up till fall 2003.

Boston Globe:
Before heading on the road for their much-hyped reunion tour --
which stops at the FleetCenter Dec. 11 and 13 -- Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel
are spending some time together in the studio. That's right; according to a
representative of Sanctuary Records, the pair are working with producer John
Alagia on at least one new song -- their first studio collaboration since
1970's ''Bridge Over Troubled Water.'' Alagia has produced hit records for Dave
Matthews and John Mayer.

(Bodo: Sure, the journalist of 'The Boston globe' is total wrong. S&G recorded several songs after their break up:
My little Town
What a wonderful world(+ James Taylor)
In Cars(for Art's solo album Scissors Cut)
and several songs from 'Hearts and Bones'

New Releases fall 2003

Simon & Garfunkel's Concert at the Park 1981 has finally be released on DVD now, and with the end of September you can buy it worldwide (amazon).
The DVD contains exactly the same material as the VHS tape, no extra additions have been made. But it's a timeless concert you can watch for years so the improved picture quality is worth it to buy the DVD.

Exactly timed with the start of the S&G reunion tour a new long awaited compilation of their Greatest Hit's (called: The Essential S&G) will be released on October 14th and fall into the line with the other countless compilations. It contains a bunch of live versions never released before to raise our enthusiasm.

Also in October (28th for Region-1 USA) the 'Live at the Tower' concert will be released on DVD. This concert shows Paul live on his 1980 One Trick Pony tour in Philadelphia. Maybe this could be the most interesting peace for the fans because the VHS tape wasn't on common sale the last years and contains some rare songs like 'Jonah' or 'Ace in the hole'. As well as the S&G Park concert also this DVD contains no additional material/sound-mixes.
